Fueled by the vision to turn Jakarta into a retail tourism destination, Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival (JFFF), a grandiose annual event, has been held each month of May. JFFF was brought to life through the synergy of DKI Jakarta’s District Government & Summarecon, supported by the Association of Indonesian Fashion Designers & Entrepreneurs (APPMI), Martha Tilaar Group, MRA Media Group, Metro TV and Esmod School of Fashion.
Ever since its first inception in 2004, JFFF has been held for three consecutive times. During its four years journey, this festival has gained popularity not only domestically, but also in the neighboring countries. Taking place in Kelapa Gading, famous as The City of a Million Flavors, JFFF is a valued event among the Indonesian designers to promote their latest wonderful creations.
Fashion Extravaganza is one agenda that never fails to show up in JFFF, parading the beauty and richness of Indonesian designers’ creation. Furthermore, the merry Food Festival is another program not to be missed, tempting the visitors to grab unique prizes while romancing their taste buds. An extravagant agenda is the Gading Carnival, presenting beautifully decorated street floats, entertaining street attractions and attractive lighting techniques.

FASHION EXTRAVAGANZA
East Meet West, an Exquisite Collaboration. What’s unique from the Fashion Extravaganza is the exquisite collaboration between the international models and the renowned Indonesian models, uniting to display the beautiful collections of Indonesian prominent designers. A considerable list of international models has made their walk in the JFFF stage, from China, Sweden, USA, Portuguese, Brazil and even Russia. This smooth collaboration is also a window of opportunity to introduce the highly-potential and highly-attractive Indonesian fashion industry, on its way to become an inseparable part of the international fashion world.
GADING YOUNG DESIGNER AWARD (GYDA)

GADING CARNIVAL
(24 Mei 2008, 6:00 pm, at Sentra Kelapa Gading)
Extravagant, Merry and Attractive. Street floats parade, combined with exciting street attractions and remarkable lighting techniques are on show at night along the street of Bulevar Summarecon Kelapa Gading. Hundreds of attractive dancers with colorful a la Mardi Gras costume further confirms this carnival as the festival’s most extravagant and memorable program for the whole family.
FOOD FESTIVAL

Exciting Food, Exciting Prizes.Famous as The City of a Million Flavors, countless of domestic and foreign tourists have flocked into Kelapa Gading to experience the unique food adventure. ARTISTS PERFORMANCE
A Festival Full of Superstars.From year to year since the first JFFF 2004, a number of divas and superstars in the Indonesian music industry have taken part in the festival. Providing Key to Become Professional Models. Gading Model Search (GMS) is a competition that has been attracting numerous young talents from Jakarta and all over Indonesia. Not only discovering potential young models, this competition also offers promising modelling career opportunities. This competition unveil many golden opportunities to the lucky winners, including irresistable fashion show offers, photo shoots in leading magazines and even invitation to star in film or TV productions.
GADING BEAUTY AWARDS

Best Beauty Make Up Artist Contest. JFFF collaborate with PAC Martha Tilaar have discovered talented junior make up artists and managed professional make up artists to show their creative ideas from all over Indonesia. People would have watched how the beauty been created during the contest that divided in two categories, Evening Make Up and Creative Make Up. Do not miss and witness the birth of a new generation of make up talents.
